Generative Art
I recently built several playgrounds to help me iterate some things visually. The Glowfield helped me define the behavior for Hyzer’s background ambience. I built the Triangle Wrangler to assist with a brief. The Kaleidescope was created because my girlfriend thought it would be neat if the triangles were more kaleidescopic. And Poolside because I like the aesthetic.
All playgrounds share similar controls, and can be saved in your browser’s localStorage, as a png, or with others as a share-able link.
Triangles
I find I like the effect of JITTER combined with little to no EXPLODE best.
Glowfield
It’s a little more captivating to see the glowfield drift in the playground, but I liked these stills.
Kaleidescope
Similarly, more enchanting to watch the kaleidescope spin, but these stills still captured some very interesting patterns!
